*I was looking through the notes app on my phone, and I found this. I only have the vaguest recollection of jotting it down, but can only assume that it was very important and 100% true and accurate. Do with this info what you may. It has been presented in its original, unedited form.*
A secret conspiracy of crustaceans, overseen by a ruthless council, has long flourished in the shadows, waiting and growing. The year 2020 was but the first volley in a conflict to decide the fate of not just humanity, but who will control the Earth.
The Crab People believe they are superior to mammals, and believe that now is the time for them to rise up from the watery depths to claim their rightful place as the Earth’s last dynasty. They have technology beyond our wildest imaginations, including a device that lets them rob humans of our very thoughts and knowledge: a parasitic mind reading ray that steals your thoughts and memories on any one specific target subject as you speak on any unrelated topic.
Worse, some people have willingly decided to serve the crab people. Some do it for promised riches, some for fear, but even more do it because they think, if they please the Crustacean Council, they will be allowed access to crustacean mutation technology and join the conquerors. They’ve actively started targeting authority positions from the military to elected lawmakers to small town dog catchers and even Starbucks baristas. These spies, informants, and double agents could be anywhere.
A deep undercover agent, Codename: Hercules, has at great personal risk reported that the Council is nearing completion on the next generation of mind-technology. This time, instead of reading minds, the crab people will be controlling them.
A small New England town has been secretly selected for Operation Exoskeleton Overkrill.
You must decide. Will you join the Resistance, humanity’s last hope, and strive to protect free will? Or will you be tempted by the dark offerings of the Council, and betray humanity for your crab people overlords?

Hello, Reader! Just about now, you might be wondering what the purpose of this post is, how it fits into the scheme of this website as a whole. How does it connect? Spoiler alert: it doesn’t! I’m sharing this simply because it’s something I wrote at one point that amused me, and I hope it will find other people to amuse too! One day, I might come back to this idea, as I think Overkrill and crab people is an idea that really has legs—specifically, crab legs.
